The first few weeks

Hello Friends!
Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. Things have been really busy here! I'm usually in classes Monday through Fridays in the mornings. I also have work in the kitchen in the afternoons. We have 3 hours a week of intercession, where we pray for others. We also have various worship times, hang out times and processing times. I'm very busy and brain is very full! But there are many many many fun times as well. For example: one of the girls and I built a snowman on Monday! It's freezing! We've been learning about worship, repentance, and the missionary heart of God. The speakers are amazing. This week our speaker is a very interesting guy, who is originally from India. Class is interesting in many ways. One way is that whenever he calls on someone to read a verse he interrupts that person as he is making a point. It's kind of funny, actually! We are surrounded by scripture here. We memorize at least three verses a week. And we have time every day to read; I am reading in Mark. Currently, I'm in chapter 3. The atmosphere here is amazing, it really seems like a family. Everyone pitches in and helps each other. Even the director does dishes! It's a lot easier than college in some ways. The academics aren't hard, but the emotional energy is intense. This is by no means the easiest thing I've ever done. In fact, it may be the hardest. But I really do love it here. And it may have been the best decision of my life to have come here. It's not all roses, but it's not all thorns either. My view of God is being revolutionized. I'm getting such a bigger picture of God than I've ever seen in my life. Words really cannot express all I'm feeling and experiencing and learning. It's really amazing. I really hope that God continues to expand my view of who he is. And I hope that he would draw me closer to Himself.

That He would draw us to Himself and change us to be more like Him
