The real fun gegins...

We just got back from a "camping trip" , which was really more of a camping trip than a retreat. We stayed in these amazing cabins on the lake. We had a little more teaching on worship, but most of the time was spend asking "Quaker questions" which are these questions that helped us get to know each other on a deeper level. We also played "Chubby bunny" with marshmallows- I got to 5, then had to quit. One of the girls, Justine, beat everyone with 13 marshmallows. We also had amazing smores and Thai food. Tomorrow, the first day of real class begins...I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to it or not.

Can I get off the rollercoaster yet?

DTS (Discipleship Training School)- Day 2

On Saturday, I got back to YWAM at 6 am, when I was supposed to have arrived by 1...it's a long story. Then, I was told I was going to be moving upstairs (a smaller room)...and having a roommate. So I got all of my stuff moved upstairs, only to be told that I had to put a lot of it in the attic...which I didn't (and still don't) want to do. So I've been going through my stuff to decide what goes in the attic. Yesterday, most of the students arrived.

There are four single girls including me: me, my roommate, Elle, and our neighbors, Rachel, and Justine.
A married couple, Lais and Julio, who are the parents of our DTS leader, Juliana.
3 single guys: Seth, Justin, and Andrew.
and a mom with two kids: Terri, and her daughter , Elizabeth, (11yo) and Seth (13yo).

The three guys and us four single girls live in the main lodge. The others live in two other buildings.

Justine, Lais, and Julio haven't arrived yet.

We've just had orientation so far, as well as some teaching on sin. My roommate and Rachel seem pretty awesome. Come to think of it, everyone seems cool so far. Lecture phase (all $3300 of it ) is paid off, but I don't have the money for outreach yet.

I also got told that I would be helping with hospitality for my work duties (not my first choice).

Prayer requests:
1. That God would help me trust Him with all of these uncomfortable changes. That I would have a teachable, humble heart.
2. That God would really move in my life, that He would draw me closer to Him.
3. That God would help me obey Him, and learn to hear His voice.
4. That I wouldn't give up and quit.
5. That I would be a blessing to the others, including the staff.
